The devices of the COMTRAXX® family from Bender GmbH & Co. KG are now even more flexible. With the latest software update, the PROFINET interface has been integrated. It has become the leading standard on the market in recent years.
The devices that Bender is equipping with the new interface include the CP9...-I condition monitor. This device can be used to monitor the status of industrial electrical installations and to clearly show and evaluate it on a display or in a web browser. In addition, the COM465IP and COM465DP condition monitors get the new interface as part of the COMTRAXX® software. These devices have the same functions as the CP9...-I, but do not have a display and only make the data available via the web browser and the many included interfaces. In the case of the COM465IP and COM465DP, the PROFINET interface is part of the function module B and can also be activated later on.
The new functionality of the devices is available from software version V4.5.1. The free update for the respective devices is available in the download area of the Bender website.
Background:
PROFINET is an open, cross-vendor industrial standard for production and process automation and is used by a number of vendors to ensure communication between different devices. To use PROFINET, certification by the PROFIBUS User Organisation e.V. (PNO) is required. According to PNO figures, the PROFIBUS standard is used by more than 20 million installed devices.
