ISOMETER® iso175

The ISOMETER® iso175 insulation monitoring device is designed for unearthed drive systems in hybrid, fuel cell, and electric vehicles.

The device reliably detects insulation faults, significantly contributing to both electrical safety and the availability of the electrical system. A key success factor is the use of an active, patented measurement method, which allows insulation monitoring even when the high-voltage system is de-energised, prior to the connection of the energy storage system.

Thanks to the integrated earth switch, no additional relays or contactors are required. The ISOMETER® iso175 also ensures reliable insulation measurements even with high system leakage capacitances of up to 10 μF. With its integrated CAN interface, the insulation monitoring device can be easily integrated into modern systems, providing additional information to support and simplify system analysis.

  • Continuous measurement of insulation resistance RF_corrected = 0…35 MΩ (RF_original = 0…50 MΩ)
  • Response time ≤ 30 s for insulation resistances ≤ 500 Ω/Volt and system leakage capacitances ≤ 2 μF
  • Maximum system leakage capacitance up to 10 μF (High Capacity profile)
